Pre-orders open on Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. PT, which puts the buying decision two days ahead of one of the coverage options. Nothing has been sold yet, so this is preparation rather than a report on what people are choosing.

The add-on with no published price
Apple’s support pricing tables carry rows for iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, and the price cells in those rows are empty in the page Apple serves. There is no published monthly or annual AppleCare+ figure for any product launched this September.

Apple does confirm in both press releases that AppleCare+ and AppleCare One plans are available for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo. What it has not said is what either costs per device, or how long after purchase AppleCare+ can still be added. Any figure circulating for iPhone 18 Pro coverage did not come from Apple’s published pages.
AppleCare One, and the family plan that is two days late
AppleCare One is $19.99 a month and covers up to three products, with each additional device at $5.99 a month. That is the only coverage price Apple has actually published for this launch, and it is available today.
AppleCare One Family is $49.99 a month, covers up to six people set up through Family Sharing, and Apple has said it becomes available on September 14. It carries the same benefits as AppleCare+, including accidental damage and battery service, adds theft and loss protection for eligible iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and allows six total claims a year across the group. Newly purchased devices are added automatically at no extra cost.
The timing is the practical point. A buyer ordering on Saturday cannot sign up for the family plan that day, because it does not exist until Monday, four days before the phone arrives.
Three months of services, and the five Apple names
Apple’s Store pages advertise three months of select services free with an Apple device purchase, and names five of them: Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+. Buyers of the iPhone Duo, which is a separate October launch, get three months of Apple One instead.
Apple does not publish a cash value for the bundle in the material covering this launch, and it is not a price reduction on the phone. Free Personal Setup, a one-to-one online session with an Apple Specialist for setup and data transfer, is also offered at no charge and is booked after the purchase rather than during it.

Cases and straps are the clearest example of something with no deadline. Apple has updated the Clear Case, the silicone case, the FineWoven case and a wrist strap for this generation, and none of them has to be on the order to be bought later.
What has not been confirmed
Apple has not published a per-device AppleCare+ price for iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12 or Apple Watch Ultra 4. It has not published the window in which AppleCare+ can be added after purchase for these products, has not published a cash value for the three months of services, and has not published a time of day for the AppleCare One Family launch.
Pre-orders open on Saturday, September 12 at 5 a.m. PT, AppleCare One Family arrives on Monday, September 14 alongside iOS 27, and the phones, AirPods 5 and Apple Watch Series 12 reach stores on Friday, September 18.
